A resume of Kathy & Terry your hosts at “SheldrakeBnB.”

Terry & I have spent many years of our lives travelling overseas.

Terry with his life- long involvement with the world of Triathlon

Kathy accompanying him when possible but also travelling with a friend to countries like Nepal/India/Vietnam and various Indonesian islands.

Terry was on the World Board of Triathlon for 20 years – which involved travelling to many countries and attending ITU World Championships where ever they were being held often in exciting and exotic countries, attending the Olympic Games from when triathlon was included in the Games from the year 2000. These experiences offered both Terry & I the opportunity to experience many events at VIP levels which we plan to use when hosting our guests.

We have both served as elected members of the Gisborne District Council, plus Kathy on the Tairawhiti District Health Board.

However our strengths in hospitality have been gained with the many events we have organised.

The Weetbix Kids Tryathlon was a major for us when we held the contract with Sanitarium to run the events through -out New Zealand for 15years.

Organising the World Triathlon Champs in 2002 in Queenstown and then 2012 in Auckland has given us extensive knowledge with hosting both NZ and overseas delegates.

We love meeting new people and sharing their experiences and being able to share our wonderful surroundings at Whanarua Bay. This special place is both a relaxing and stress free environment.
